Self Risk Assessment

Self Risk Assessment

Whether you’re a young woman in your first relationship, a middle-aged woman exploring polyamory, or a older woman who is single for the first time in decades, you can make informed and safe decisions about your sex life. Understanding your HIV risk level will help you make a better plan for your health.

Select a sex act and protective factors to view your risk level.

When one partner is HIV positive and one partner is HIV negative (known as a discordant partnership), risk levels are influenced by the type of sex act, vaginal or anal sex, and what, if any, protective factors are used, such as condoms, PrEP, or ART. Note kissing, touching, and oral sex have extremely low to no HIV risk.
